LSVT BIG for Parkinson's

High-effort movement training that helps people with Parkinson's move bigger and more confidently.

What is this?

Parkinson's often makes movement smaller, slower, and less automatic. LSVT BIG uses repeated, intentional, large-amplitude movement to recalibrate how the body moves through everyday tasks. The work is active and focused: walking, reaching, standing from a chair, turning, and using the hands with more power and control.

Who is it for?

People with Parkinson's disease or Parkinsonian movement patterns who are noticing smaller steps, slower movement, freezing, posture changes, balance loss, or difficulty with daily tasks.

What to expect

From first visit
to full recovery.

01

Movement Baseline

We assess walking, transfers, posture, balance, reach, and the daily tasks that matter most to you.

02

Large-Amplitude Training

Sessions use repeated high-effort movements to help your body relearn bigger, clearer motion.

03

Task Practice

We connect the exercises directly to real tasks like standing up, turning, walking, dressing, or using the hands.

04

Daily Carryover

Home practice reinforces the new movement size so gains show up outside the clinic.

Why MedRehab

What makes our approach
different.

Parkinson's-Specific Care

The programme targets the movement changes Parkinson's creates instead of using generic strengthening alone.

Functional From Day One

Exercises are tied to the real activities you want to keep doing independently.

Built for Carryover
