Physiotherapy

The terms "Physiotherapy" and "Physical therapy" mean the same and are used interchangeably, as are the terms “Physiotherapist” and “Physical therapist”. The focus is on drug-free pain relief and maximum function. Physiotherapy prevents or lessens some of the physical problems that are associated with injury, disease, disability, birth defects or long periods of inactivity.

Physiotherapy prevents or lessens some of the physical problems that are associated with injury, disease, disability, birth defects or long periods of inactivity.

Physiotherapy includes rehabilitation, as well as prevention of injury and promotion of health and fitness. It is used whenever mobility, independence and physical fitness are important.
